Kino Intimes is an arthouse cinema with its own pub at Boxhagener Straße 107 in Friedrichshain; the entrance is on Niederbarnimstraße. It is run by the operators of the Tilsiter Lichtspiele, who also run Kino Zukunft. There are two screens, Intimes 1 with 71 seats and Intimes 2 with 33, and the pub serves beer from the house's own brewery.
The cinema describes its programme as German productions and international films in the original version with German subtitles. Alongside these it runs children's and family films, anime screenings, a late-night horror show and knitting screenings. On its own labelling, films without a language label are in German, and OmdU and OmeU mark the original version with German or English subtitles. Neither label by itself means English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
For public transport, the cinema lists tram M21 at Niederbarnimstraße, tram M10 at Frankfurter Tor, and the U5 at Frankfurter Tor and Samariterstraße. The cinema says it shows no more than ten minutes of advertising before a film, so arrive on time.
