Freiluftkino Rehberge is a seasonal open-air cinema in Volkspark Rehberge. Its stage is laid out like an amphitheatre, with benches with backrests set among old trees, and films are shown with laser projection on a large screen. Screenings go ahead in any weather, and seating is unreserved.
The cinema says most of its films are shown in the German dubbed version. Alongside them it has a selection of English-language and subtitled films, which it calls its OmU selection. The OmU label does not by itself mean English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
The entrance is at the corner of Windhuker Straße and Maji-Maji-Allee, about 200 metres into the park. For public transport, the cinema lists the U6 stations Afrikanische Straße and Rehberge and bus 221 at Manga-Bell-Platz. Its accessibility page says the cinema is equipped for wheelchair users but recommends a companion or a power assist on the entrance path and the paths to the seats. The same page describes an induction loop for hearing aids, used from the top rows of the seating block in front of the projection booth. Dogs are allowed on a lead if they do not disturb others.
