Astra Filmpalast is a five-screen cinema at Sterndamm 69 in Berlin. Its programme centres on new releases, with previews, special events, re-releases and a series of classics and cult films called Best of Cinema, plus a programme for the school holidays. Some titles on Astra's own programme carry the OmU label, which does not by itself mean English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
Each room has a Loge section of armchairs as well as seats in the stalls, and the rooms range from 102 to 249 seats. Astra says all its rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with digital projection, including 3D.
Astra says every room has two wheelchair spaces, reached by lift. In rooms 2 and 3 these spaces are in the front row; in rooms 1, 4 and 5 they are towards the back or the middle. The cinema also lists an accessible toilet and a parking space for disabled visitors directly in front of the building. Astra's accessibility page has the details.
