CinemaxX Berlin is a 19-screen multiplex at Potsdamer Straße 5, which the cinema describes as directly at Potsdamer Platz. The rooms vary a great deal in size: the largest has around 200 seats, while rooms 11 to 19 are small rooms of 10 to 20 seats. CinemaxX says it uses Barco laser projection, and every seat is either an electrically adjustable LUX seat with a table or an ULTRA LUX seat with extra storage for bags and coats. Several rooms are equipped for 3D.
Alongside mainstream releases, the operator's Berlin programme includes opera and ballet relays, concert films and a sneak preview labelled OV. CinemaxX also shows films from around the world in their original language with subtitles, some with English subtitles. English subtitles do not mean English audio, and neither does an OV label on its own. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
For wheelchair spaces, CinemaxX says its service team can take reservations by email, and it answers questions about a visit by phone.
